Elixir Play was born from a desire to help women around the world experience and celebrate their sexuality and pleasure.

Founded by Lara Pack who after many years of personal issues with pelvic pain and in turn, painful sexual experience, turned to pelvic physiotherapy for assistance.

It was through this experience that she realised the importance of external stimulation and thus the benefit of sex toys.

During a consultation with a doctor, that she mentioned that she wished there was a magic pill to fix the issue.

Hence the name Elixir – which means magic potion or spell.

We added Play because of course, sex should be playful.

In fact, keeping it playful actually helps to address some of the issues associated with pain.

Disheartened by the stigma around sex toys and their male-heavy influence in design and function, she set about to understand more about the female body and create her own designs.

Through working with health care professionals, sex toy designers and a team of passionate testers, she developed Elixir Play.
